Staff take a photo of the receipt in the app, the merchant, amount, date and VAT are read from it, and they check it and add it to a claim. Managers approve it, a second person signs it off if you want one, and approved expenses go to your accounts. Expenses are on Pro and above.

Snap it before it fades
The receipt is photographed the day it is spent, in the same app people clock in on. The details are read from the photo and shown for the person to check: nothing is saved until they have. Each person gets 10 receipt reads a month included, and the expenses AI add-on makes that unlimited.

Claims that go to the right person
Expenses are grouped into a claim and submitted. It goes to the person's manager, or to a named first approver, and you can require a second sign-off before anything is paid. Claims in another currency are converted, and the tax amount is kept on every line.

Straight into your accounts
Categories come from your accounting system, so what people choose is what your accountant sees. Approved expenses go to Xero or QuickBooks, and anything else can be exported as a spreadsheet.

How does receipt scanning work?
The person takes a photo of the receipt and the merchant, amount, currency, date and tax are read from it, with a suggested category. They check the details and save. Nothing is filed without a person confirming it.
Is receipt scanning included?
Yes, 10 receipts per person per month on any plan with expenses. The expenses AI add-on lifts that to unlimited for the people you add it for.
Which accounting software does it work with?
Xero and QuickBooks today, with categories brought across from your accounts. A spreadsheet export covers anything else. FreeAgent is being finished and is not available yet.
Can we have two people approve an expense?
Yes. You can require a second sign-off after the first approval, and choose who is allowed to give it.
Does it do mileage or company card feeds?
Not yet. Mileage claims and spend rules are being built and are not on any plan today. Company card feeds are not built.
